Job Description

The House of Commons' Finance Services is actively seeking to create a team of Administrator, Accounting Operations for a 12-month period.

In this role, you will participate in the implementation of large-scale initiatives within Finance Services, having a direct impact on Members of Parliament, House Officers and the entire House of Commons Administration. You will also provide essential support by offering a range of accounting and financial services to the various stakeholders of the House, including managers and employees of the Administration.

Qualifications

Education:

A post-secondary school degree or diploma in accounting, finance, commerce or business administration related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.

Experience:

  • Recent experience in applying accounting or finance principles and best practices.
  • Experience providing financial advice.
  • Experience in a related field to this position such as bookkeeping or accounts payable.
  • Experience providing client services.
  • Experience using an Integrated Financial System.
