Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Administrator for Accounting Operations to join our team for a 12-month period. As an integral member of our Finance Services team, you will play a crucial role in implementing large-scale initiatives that have a direct impact on Members of Parliament, House Officers, and the entire House of Commons Administration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the implementation of complex accounting projects
  • Provide essential support by offering a range of accounting and financial services to various stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the team to interpret and apply accounting standards, supporting the House's commitment to responsible financial management
Requirements
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance, commerce, or business administration, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience
  • Recent experience applying accounting or finance principles and best practices
  • Experience in bookkeeping or accounts payable
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per year, as well as training and development opportunities. Bilingual positions are assigned a linguistic profile based on second language proficiency requirements.
