We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Marketing and Business Development Assistant , with a specific focus on the Chinese market, to join our team.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Developing and furthering Crimson's Chinese market presence in Canada by assisting with Chinese marketing initiatives
  2. Developing Chinese marketing assets, such as blogs, websites, marketing brochures, videos, case studies, webinar content, sales templates, and resources for students
  3. Organizing and supporting the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of webinars and other related events
  4. Managing WeChat group promotions and responding to questions
  5. Contributing to the creation of offline and online marketing content to increase brand awareness, create a positive customer experience, and increase conversions
  6. Assisting with outreach tactics, including expos, seminars, school talks, and related events
  7. Supporting webinar coordinating and logistics
  8. Supporting Chinese partnership building efforts by researching and finding contact information of potential partners and media channels, and establishing relevant partnerships

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, or a related field
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese reading, writing, and editing skills are essential
  • 2+ years of experience of Chinese content writing and/or Chinese social media management, experience in creating content for WeChat public account and Little Red Book will be preferred
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience in the education sector and/or knowledge in university admissions (US & UK as priority) will be preferred but not required
  • Background in college consulting or have a network of education industry contacts/parent groups will be a strong plus
  • Experience with Canva and a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a strong plus
  • Basic command of video editing software, such as CapCut, is preferred but not mandatory
  • Creative thinking and project management skills
  • Professionalism, confidence, positive attitude, willingness to learn and go the extra mile
  • A team player and independent worker who does not require hand-holding
  • Strong organization skills and high learning agility and growth mindset – comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth, and creative environment
