**Overview**
This is a distinctive position, providing a rare opportunity for a “hybrid” role that includes both marketing and sales (support)/business development. Working for a diversified multi-sector firm means you will get to learn about the key industries that drive the Manitoba economy, including agribusiness, real estate, construction, finance & insurance, health care, technology, manufacturing, natural resources, and government.
We are currently looking for a Marketing Coordinator, Digital Lead Generation & Business Development to join our team. In addition to individual responsibilities, you will be key team member who will collaborate directly with the Director of Business Development & Client Relations, the Manager, Marketing & Business Development, the Digital Marketing Specialist and the Marketing Coordinator, Communications & Events. Your position is a “link” between marketing and business development, serving the internal needs of the firm’s lawyers and external clients.
**Key Responsibilities**
While marketing and business development are separate functions, these two revenue generation areas are “two halves of a whole” and need to work collaboratively for the benefit of clients, the firm and individual lawyers.
Members of the team with business development responsibilities have a more of a “client facing” role, while marketing team members play more of a “behind the scenes” role. The marketing team has responsibilities for the brand image of the firm through the firm’s website, social media platforms and other marketing initiatives designed for lead generation.
This position will be responsible for aspects of the following areas:
Business Development
- Assist with lead generation, evaluation, and conversion.
- Assist in the completion of RFPs (Requests for Proposals)
- Provide administrative maintenance of the firm’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Marketing
- Provide general administration support to the Marketing and BD Department
- Triage internal and external requests for marketing service requests to appropriate department members.
- Assisting the Marketing and Business Development department with campaigns and events.
- Manage the firm’s social media presence.
- Liaise with marketing agencies.
- Assist with creating marketing collateral, such as social media copy, graphics, printed and online collateral, etc.
- Assist with website content maintenance and optimization.
- Maintain internal marketing communications within the firm.
**Skills & Abilities**
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following attributes:
- Experience managing and creating content for websites, as well as channel-specific knowledge - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube.
- Some background and experience in sales/business development, ideally B2B.
- Work effectively in a professional, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with an understanding of multimedia and visual communications.
- Versatility to follow direction and think independently during tasks.
- Must be extremely flexible and able to prioritize.
- Ability to manage concurrent projects and manage time effectively, particularly under pressure.
