Job purpose

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Business Development Associate to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.

  • The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth by boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients existing and new.

Duties and responsibilities

· Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction

· Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs

· Arrange business meetings with prospective clients

· Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives

· Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support

· Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers.

· Assisting supervisors and others with existing client's portfolio

· Asking for support when needed to further progress on existing and new client portfolios.

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

· Effective leadership skills, with a strong focus on operations and business processes.

· Able to identify key issues; creatively and strategically overcome internal challenges or obstacles.

· High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.

· Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.

· A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and people management skills.

· Wildfire Operational background considered an asset

· Ability to communicate in the wildfire industry using proper terminology

· Ability to conduct meetings on their own with guidance.

· Understanding of the ICS systems

· Willing to cold call potential clients

· Ability to take direction.

· Self-motivated

· Great communication skills

· Understanding of government structure

· Extremely organized

· Willing to take classes and courses to build the individual's ability to succeed in the emergency management industry.

· Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.

· Understanding the importance of team camaraderie

· Willingness to understand and respect other cultures

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

· Ability to attend and conduct meetings.

· Manual dexterity is required to use desktop computers and peripherals.

· Overtime as required.

· Travel

· Potentially deployed in a liaison role for specific clients

· Irregular hours
