The Training and Development Specialist assesses, monitors training needs, improves and develops training tools and materials, develops and maintains templates and procedures, supports users in software usage and is responsible for implementing training during the implementation of new applications or software. Daily responsibilities include, among others:Development and Implementation of Training Plan:Identify training needs within the law firm in collaboration with directors and department heads.Coordinate the implementation of the training plan, including creating internal training programs, provide training on office systems and computer applications, office policies and procedures, as well as orientation training for new employees.Training Process Management:Organize regular training sessions.Develop training programs for hiring or development for different employee groups (administrative and professional).Prepare, schedule, and conduct continuous training webinars for support staff and lawyers on the firm's technologies and computer applications.Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs by collecting feedback from participants and analyzing outcomes.Generate and analyze regular reports on training progress, outcomes, and participation for management review.Adapt training programs based on feedback and changing needs within the firm.Skill Development:Design skill development programs for lawyers and support staff, focusing on continuous professional development and career advancement.Encourage and support the development of non-technical skills such as time management, problem-solving, effective communication, and leadership.Collaborate with senior lawyers to establish mentorship and coaching programs for junior lawyers.Strategic Monitoring:Monitor trends and developments in the legal and professional development fields.Identify best practices in training and skill development for assistants and professionals and propose innovative initiatives to maintain the firm's competitiveness.Resource Management:Manage the budget allocated for training and development, ensuring efficient use of funds, including monitoring of participant certifications in view of the 1% law.Coordinate resources needed for training programs, including training facilities, educational tools, and training materials.Communication and Awareness:Regularly communicate with lawyers and staff to promote available training and development opportunities.Raise awareness among employees about the importance of continuous training for their professional development and the overall success of the firm.Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the firm's applications, processes, and workflows.Requirements: College or university degree in administration, teaching, or another relevant field.Minimum of 5 years of experience as a training specialist in professional services.Prior experience in a law firm, an asset.Experience in partnering with leaders to help foster a learning culture.Excellent communication skills in both French and English, both written and verbal.Curiosity and interest in knowledge development and ability to work with various computer tools.Ability to learn quickly and master a complex technical product.Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure.Excellent interpersonal skills and great attention to detail.Knowledge of Office 365, SharePoint, MS Teams.Joining KRB means making the choice to be fulfilled within a team of excellence and experience.Our talent is at the heart of our organization.
