Job summary


The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing the transportation of oversized and heavy cargo and work closely with carrier to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of cargo to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Plan and route heavy haul transportation projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and permits
  • Conduct site surveys and route reconnaissance to determine transport feasibility
  • Coordinate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution
  • Prepare and obtain necessary permits and documentation for transportation
  • Ensure cargo is properly secured and prepared for transport
  • Collaborate with drivers and operators to ensure safe and efficient transport
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating potential issues
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and industry partners


Qualifications


  • 5+ years of experience in heavy haul transportation or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian transportation regulations and permitting requirements
  • Knowledge of cargo securement and tie-down procedures
  • Experience with GPS tracking and logistics management software
  • Experience with route planning and logistics software
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics or transportation an asset
  • Good interpersonal and teamworking skills required.
