Training and Development Specialist – Toronto - Full-Time Hybrid

Position Overview: The Training and Development Specialist will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance the skills and performance of our employees. This role involves a blend of online and classroom training, focusing on both technical and soft skills. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and be adept at leveraging technology to deliver impactful training solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging training programs in both online and classroom settings, tailored to various professional services and skill levels.
  • Design and implement training materials, including e-learning modules, presentations, and instructional guides.
  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and performance data, and use insights to customize training strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide coaching and support to employees to help them achieve their professional development goals.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure training programs are up-to-date and relevant.
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify specific training requirements and align programs with organizational objectives.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in training and development, preferably within the professional services industry.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering both online and classroom training.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to create and deliver training content on both technical topics and soft skills.
  • Proficiency in using technology to enhance learning experiences, including virtual training platforms and multimedia tools.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
