Job Summary:

The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of civil construction projects, while also providing accurate and competitive estimates for upcoming bids. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Coordinator looking to transition into project management and estimating.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Lead the planning, scheduling, and execution of civil construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, manage changes, and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Estimating:
  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects, including material, labor, and equipment costs.
  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine project requirements.
  • Collaborate with the project team to develop competitive bids and proposals.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain the best pricing and terms.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, risks, and opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil construction, with a focus on excavations, utilities, and roads.
  • Previous experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Coordinator with a strong interest in estimating.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficient in project management and estimating software.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage teams and collaborate with various stakeholders.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites as needed.
