Civil Construction Project Coordinator

Dragados Canada, Inc., the Canadian construction arm of the ACS Group (one of the world’s largest international construction and engineering companies), is seeking a talented and experienced **Civil Construction Project Coordinator** to join its dynamic and energetic team.
Dragados Canada was established in 2008 and has grown steadily into an industry-leader in Canada, with offices in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, successfully performing a variety of large-scale transportation, bridge, dam, tunnel, and other major infrastructure projects.
**Salary range**: $65,000-$75,000 (based on relevant experience, qualifications, and skills).
**Note: This is a site-based position.**
**Responsibilities**
- Ensure compliance in respect of Health and Safety (prevention program) and quality system
- Ensure compliance with the standards of construction designs, plans and specifications
- Ensure compliance with the budget of project
- Ensure that the plans meet the guidelines, the requirement of building codes and other regulations
- Interact with subcontractors and other members of the engineering team
- Prepare work breakdown structures, quantity takeoffs, and requests for quotes
- Participate in preliminary and final cost estimates
- Perform all other related tasks that will help complete the project
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or other related discipline
- P. Eng designation or pursuing the designation will be considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years of experience on heavy civil projects
- Knowledge of reading shop drawings, review shop drawings in conjunction with design drawings, specifications
- Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Experience with/knowledge of AutoCAD would be considered an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- Collaborative attitude and strong teamwork skills
- Exceptional organization skills and high attention to detail
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Class 5 driver license is highly preferred
- Availability to potentially work evenings, weekends and longer hours if required
