Job Summary

Manson Construction Co. is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing all engineering activities on a project, ensuring that all work is done in compliance with project plans, specifications, and applicable permits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and implement project work plans, work element plans, and Job Safety Analyses (JSAs) to ensure successful project execution.
  • Cost Management: Prepare and submit pay estimates to clients, and monitor project costs to ensure they are within budget.
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Conduct critical path scheduling, baseline scheduling, and 3-week look-ahead scheduling to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Quality Control: Oversee contractor quality control reporting and ensure that all work meets project specifications.
  • Project Administration: Maintain project files and organization of the project office, and ensure that all project documentation is up-to-date.
  • Supervision: Supervise lead engineers and field engineers on assigned projects, and carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical area of study, typically Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications: Valid Driver's License, First Aid/CPR Certification, 30-hour OSHA Certification, Fall Protection Competent Person, and Professional Engineer registration (preferred).
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, Outlook, and experience with scheduling, estimating, computer-aided design (CAD), and project management software (HCSS and Primavera preferred).

This position will require relocations or travel depending on the project location and requirements.

Physical Demands

The employee must be able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) required of various construction work environments, including hard hats, personal floatation devices, safety glasses, gloves, safety-toed shoes, respirators, etc. The employee is required to stand, walk, use stairs, ladders, and step stools, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and may occasionally lift and/or up to 50 pounds.

The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The employee may be required to sit for extended periods of time.
