Manager of Technology

This is a technology leadership role with a well-established non-profit in downtown Vancouver. In this role, you’ll play an important role as part of the management team, and you’ll be leading the technology initiatives for approximately 300 staff across three locations.
This is an organization that makes a big difference in the lives of vulnerable people in the Vancouver area.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the technology team, and you will take care of budgeting and planning for upcoming projects and initiatives. Importantly, you will have a seat at the leadership table at this organization, and you will be encouraged to bring your ideas related to process improvements, innovation and ways to make the organization stronger and better. And all of this is for the good of people that you’re helping everyday.
This is a full-time position, and includes a competitive base salary, paid vacation and extended health and dental benefits.
One of the attractive elements of this opportunity is to really take ownership of various aspects of this company’s technology roadmap. You’ll be mentoring and coaching your internal staff members, and managing several external vendors. You will work with your colleagues to plan and budget for the various technology initiatives.

Requirements
Here are some of the items that you'll bring to the table for this role:
- You have five or more years of leadership experience in a company or non-profit organizaiton
- You have a strong technology background, related to IT infrastructure and software applications
- You pride yourself on your inter-personal skills, and you enjoy meeting with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
- You live in the Vancouver area, and you’re able to work on-site in downtown Vancouver (hybrid arrangement)
- Previous experience in a non-profit environment would be considered an asset for this role
