Located in Vancouver, this **Manager, Recruitment** is part of the recruitment team and is directly responsible for recruitment of new students primarily from Latin America and other countries as assigned by the manager.

As a key member of the enrolment management team, this position closely works with recruitment department team members, admissions, marketing and other departments of New York Tech Vancouver as needed.

**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Enrollment Services and Marketing, the **Recruitment Manager** - Latin America represents New York Institute of Technology-Vancouver in a professional manner at recruitment fairs and events both locally and internationally. As a front-line recruitment team member, this position is responsible for building awareness of New York Tech Vancouver among prospective students and agents and growing overall enrolment of students. This position actively interacts with prospective students and educational agents and provides them with correct and timely information about the degree programs. The recruitment managers onducts regular communications and follow-ups and recruits new students and agents. The position works as an active team member within the Enrollment Services and Market Department which includes recruitment, marketing, and admissions. The position also interacts with team members in the Bursars Office and Registrar’s Office and other departments as needed. The Recruitment Manager has an annual target to recruit a certain number of new students.

**RECRUITMENT-RELATED RESPOSIBILITIES**
- Develop an **Annual Recruitment Plan** to recruit new students from overseas Latin American and local markets.
- Develop a **budget** to cover the cost for the annual recruitment activities.
- Upon approval of the budget, make necessary **travel arrangement** for the recruitments activities by following **all departmental and institutional** procedures.
- Represent the institution in a **professional manner** while attending fairs and events locally and overseas.
- Respond to the **inquiries from prospective students and agents** in a timely manner and provide information as requested.

**Develop and facilitate information sessions** for prospective students and agents by highlighting New York Tech Vancouver’s high quality degree programs. List Institutional and degree advantages to positively influence prospective students and agents.
- Stay current on **changes in admission requirements** by regularly referring to admissions manual and policy in the shared document produced by admissions office.
- Familiarize yourself on the **roles between recruitment department and admissions department**. The recruitment department is not involved in any admissions department-related duties such as admission decisions and updating of any student status in SLATE.
- Develop a deep knowledge of your **designated market** and focus on that market only unless instructed by the manager to focus on other markets/regions.
- ** Collaborate with marketing department** to update recruitment information on relevant websites and engage in social media promotion.
- Achieve **annual new student enrolment targets as agreed upon with the Manager**. Be actively involved in conversion activities through timely responses to inquiries from prospective students and agents, regular information sessions to agents and their counselling staff, regular follow-up to inquiries generated from website, advertising activities, walk-ins, phone calls, word of mouth as well as inquiries from agents.
- Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge with **SLATE**, its communications functions with prospective students and agents and the production of relevant reports.
- Assist with **mail-outs** and other administrative duties in the department.
