We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Divisional Controller to join our client’s team on an 18-month contract. Based in Calgary, this role reports directly to the President and involves overseeing financial operations, analyzing divisional performance, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive financial growth. Key responsibilities include preparing accurate and timely month-end financial statements and providing administrative support for corporate governance processes. This includes drafting and managing Director and Shareholder resolutions, such as dividend resolutions, AGM resolutions, and handling annual returns for corporate registrations.This opportunity is ideal for an experienced financial professional with a strong background in administration who thrives in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.



Responsibilities:

  • Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports required for the line of credit, margining calculations, financial statement backups, covenant ratios (with support from the Financial Consolidations Manager), and compliance certificates.
  • Set up new accounts and manage VISA setup and administration.
  • Assist in the administration of Director and Shareholder resolutions, including: Dividend resolutions, AGM resolutions, and Annual returns (corporate registrations).
  • Assist in the development of a bi-weekly cash report for the executive team.
  • Report actual and forecast cash positions by using cash reports prepared for each SR account and compiling an aggregate version at the parent level.
  • Learn the Consolidated Financials from Financial Consolidations Manager to act as a backup.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • CPA designation.
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in accounting/finance.
  • Experience in external or internal auditing.
  • Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas.
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements.
