We are currently looking for an experienced Credit Analyst for our London, Ontario branch. This position is full time, based in-office with working hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.


What You'll Be Doing:

  • Collections and full cycle credit investigations for a broad spectrum of customers              
  • Contact customers to secure payment, follow up on over-due balances, and resolve issues
  • Engage with customers to acquire an in-depth understanding of their business
  • Develop action plans to address financial challenges
  • Negotiate repayment agreements
  • Request customer financial statements from owners, VP and above
  • Handle recovery activities on complex and high-risk accounts
  • Maintain and update customer profiles including setting up new customers and updating changes to their credit limits
  • Post customer’s payments to the Accounts Receivable subledger and ensure that they match bank deposits on a daily basis
  • Approve, release, or hold orders based on customer’s payment history and/or credit limit
  • Support the Branch Controller and the Corporate Credit Manager with ad-hoc requests


Required Skills:

  • Solid understanding of credit and collections and full business cycle (Order to Cash)
  • Skilled communicator and relationship-builder
  • Assertive, organized, and a capable multi-tasker  
  • Able to work independently and also someone who can follow directions well
  • Problem solver with solid negotiation skills
  • Brings a positive attitude to tackle any problem head on, demonstrating adaptability and patience
  • Understanding of credit insurance would be beneficial (but is not necessary)


Qualifications:

  • A college or university degree in business or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years experience working credit and collections
  • Understanding of credit policy and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and in writing
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, E-mail, Internet)
