Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Credit Risk Analyst to join our team at our London, Ontario branch. This is a full-time, in-office position with regular working hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough credit investigations and collections for a wide range of customers
  • Communicate with customers to secure payment, follow up on overdue balances, and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers' businesses and identify areas for improvement
  • Develop and implement action plans to address financial challenges and negotiate repayment agreements
  • Request and review customer financial statements from owners, VP, and above
  • Manage recovery activities on complex and high-risk accounts
  • Maintain and update customer profiles, including setting up new customers and updating changes to their credit limits
  • Process customer payments and ensure they match bank deposits on a daily basis
  • Approve, release, or hold orders based on customers' payment history and credit limits
  • Support the Branch Controller and Corporate Credit Manager with ad-hoc requests
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of credit and collections, including the full business cycle (Order to Cash)
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Assertive, organized, and capable of multitasking
  • Able to work independently and follow directions well
  • Problem-solving skills with solid negotiation abilities
  • Positive attitude and adaptability
  • Understanding of credit insurance is beneficial but not necessary
Qualifications
  • College or university degree in business or finance, or equivalent experience
  • Three to five years of experience in credit and collections
  • Understanding of credit policy and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong computer skills, including Excel, Word, email, and internet
