I'm looking for a corporate recruiter to head up sales recruiting for a privately-held group of companies. My client owns and operates several mature mid-market businesses in sectors like transportation & logistics, technology consulting, and HR outsourcing with collective revenues in excess of CA$200M.


My client has a track record of developing, retaining, and incentivizing high producers in all its businesses. You'll be supporting lean, high-performance sales teams that offer aggressive cash compensation and total rewards.


The group hires self-managing, high-potential professionals and enables and rewards their success. That philosophy extends to talent acquisition, too: you'll earn a strong base salary (~$100,000+ depending on your experience in the relevant sectors) plus performance-based bonus and incentive package to bring your first-year OTE to ~$140,000+.


This isn't a role with a heap of admin work or internal bureaucracy: you’ll spend your time getting good sales talent into group businesses. You'll have direct access to the senior leadership and sales management teams to get it done. You'll need some previous experience working with senior stakeholders on long-term front-office hiring programs, preferably within professional services firms. You'll help pipeline junior sales talent for various internal sales training programs too so previous higher-volume or campus sales recruiting experience would be helpful.


Group companies work across multiple disparate sectors so you'll need broad commercial acumen to be effective. Previous experience as a third-party (agency) sales headhunter would be ideal as would similar experience actively headhunting sales talent for different employer brands across multiple lines of business.


This is a hybrid position based out of the group headquarters in downtown Toronto. You'll recruit candidates for businesses across the GTA so occasional travel may be required for meetings and networking events.


Requirements

  • 5+ years of proactive sales recruiting experience
  • 3+ years of experience recruiting experienced B2B services salespeople
  • Previous experience as a sales headhunter in a recruitment agency or search firm is a plus
  • Experience recruiting sales teams in a relevant sector is a plus
  • Experience running campus or graduate recruitment programs for junior sales talent would is a plus
