ChampionX has an immediate need for an Account Manager located in Grande Prairie, AB . As an Account Manager, you will be primarily responsible for the health and growth of existing ChampionX programs as well as the identification and pursuit of new accounts in the oil & gas industry. This role is a technical sales role where you will focus on partnering with your customers to understand their problems, requests and provide tailored solutions that improve their operations while growing your accounts. You must be a self-starter with excellent time management skills and a passion for establishing long-term relationships throughout multiple levels of a customer organization.

What You Will Do:

Work closely with current and new customers within an assigned territory. Understand customer business needs and recommend continuous improvement and innovation plans that will maintain and grow sales.

Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in current and new customer organizations, including plant or facility executives.

Generate and execute sales plans in assigned customer base and new customer accounts to meet defined territory profit increase goals.

Provide technical support to customers; identifying and resolving customer issues, escalating as required.

Engage in problem solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations to ensure customer operations are performing at optimal levels.

Actively sell and support ChampionX innovations and technology in assigned customers to promote long-term business relationships with ChampionX.

Possible travel within assigned sales territory

Position Details:

Candidate must reside in Grande Prairie, AB or surrounding areas.

Route territory will include Grande Prairie, AB and surrounding areas.

No immigration sponsorship offered for this role.

Minimum Qualifications:

3 or more years of technical sales or field sales support experience

High computer application literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, and ability to learn internal business systems)

Must have a valid Driver’s License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

Prior experience that demonstrates a strong work ethic and ability to multitask

Physical Demands:

Must have the ability to Lift/Push/Pull/Carry up to 55 pounds chest high.

This is a safety sensitive position and the successful candidate will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the oil and gas industry preferred

Previous Petrochemical experience

Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience

Working knowledge of water treatment systems

History of working in a field that required autonomy and self-motivation

Prior experience that required excellent communication skills

Prior experience that required excellent organizational skills

Account leadership experience that includes calling on multilevel plant or facilities management to accomplish company goals
