Account Executive Job Description

Account Executive to be responsible for generating leads and meeting sales goals. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients. Sales Representatives are expected to create and maintain a long-term relationship with the customers in order to achieve sales goals and represent the business in a positive manner while ensuring recurring business. Is also responsible for assisting customers with choices and provide information about the product in question. Account Executives work closely with customers, which is why they need to be able to resolve their complaints in a satisfactory manner. Provides customers with product knowledge in terms of features and warranty along with any special discount or deal that the product holds.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Selling company goods, products, and services in order to increase profit.
  2. Looking for potential new clients and buyers.
  3. Explaining the benefits of the products, goods, or services they sell to new customers in order to promote and build loyalty to their brand.
  4. Servicing existing clients.
  5. Managing client relationships through all phases of the sales cycle.
  6. Overseeing online transactions and sales.
  7. Working closely with operations and customer support to ensure customer satisfaction.
  8. Assisting customers with complaints or inquiries related to products, services, or purchases.
  9. Tracking volumes, numbers, and margins by reviewing Sales reports.
  10. Achieving weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual volume and margin sales targets.
  11. Developing strong relationships with key accounts to maintain a high level of service and client loyalty.
  12. Providing customers with an expected budget, payment agreements, and delivery estimates.
  13. Drafting contracts and overseeing all purchase agreements.
  14. Managing pricing and sales data, as well as activity reports.
  15. Soliciting purchase orders in their corresponding territory.
  16. Conducting post-sale follow ups in order to assess and assist customers with any problem or inquiry they may have.
  17. Performing various administrative duties, including preparing expense and commission reports.
  18. Keeping up-to-date on current market changes and trends.
  19. Staying up to date with the latest trends in sales and the field of their product by reading publications and attending conferences and seminaries.
  20. Monitoring market fluctuations, tendencies, and trends as well as following competitor’s activity.

Daily Tasks

  1. Promoting sales, servicing existing clients, and establishing new accounts.
  2. Focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential needs of clients.
  3. Resolving issues or complaints in a timely manner.
  4. Cold calling potential clients.
  5. Keeping up-to-date on current market changes and trends.
