The Role
The Junior Proposal Writer will be part of a critical and growing businessdevelopment team and will work directly with our senior management andconstruction teams. The writer will support and lead the proposal response(RFPs and RFQs) by generating the proposal content within the pursuit processto ensure timely and high quality submissions, interviewing and compilingtechnical info from subject matter experts, writing proposal drafts, and layingout proposal content in visually appealing, CANA-branded layout.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Workwith department managers and Communications Manager to prepare, write, and editproposal responses
● Proofread and edit content from a variety of sources for accuracy andconsistency
● Review and extract key information and content from past pursuits, and tailorfor proposal response
● Layoutcontent in InDesign
● Translatetechnical ideas into easy-to-understand language and craft compellingnarratives
● Gather and compile compliant and mandatory documentation as part of proposalsubmission package
● Maintain and update comprehensive internal library and database of projectinformation, profiles, resumes, and references
● Ensureproposals are compliant and high quality
● Adaptabilityto take on new tasks in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
WHAT YOU BRING:
● 1– 3 Years of experience as a Technical, Proposal, or Content Writer consideredan asset
● Universitydegree in English, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications
● Excellentwritten communication skills, and demonstrated proof-reading ability
● Proficientwith Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign) and the Microsoft 360 suite
● Abilityto work in a fast-paced team environment with tight deadlines is critical
● Construction,engineering, or design background an asset
● Experiencein proposal development
