About the Role

Phasor Engineering Inc. is a dynamic Alberta-based company specializing in engineering, design, and testing/commissioning of high-voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances, such as IEC 61850, to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering.

This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from preliminary engineering through to the commissioning and startup.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Tender Coordinator/Technical Writer to join our fast-growing engineering organization. Reporting to the Director of Business Development and technical leads, this position will be focused on:

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviewing project opportunities and developing a synopsis to inform a bid/no bid decision
  • Coordination and developing RFP responses focused on transmission, substation, distribution, telecommunication, survey, or fabrication scopes
  • Working with engineering in the editing and writing of technical project reports/manuals in support of project execution

The Tender Coordinator works with clients, internal departments, and subject matter experts during all stages of the bid life cycle; providing support in sourcing opportunities, gathering information, developing win strategies, and differentiators with the goal of strengthening proposal content and presenting a consistent brand with a consistent message to our clients.

Requirements
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Engineering; or a combination of relevant previous education and experience
  • 2+ years as a Tender Coordinator, or lateral, experience within the Engineering or Utilities industries
  • Project Management experience and/or training is considered an asset
  • Demonstrated technical writing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a schedule-driven environment
