About the work environment

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home; 2-3 days a week in office. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start and end times.

We are hiring for this position out of our Toronto office. Successful candidates who apply outside of Toronto will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About you

You are a seasoned talent acquisition professional with significant experience growing and developing a talent acquisition team to become partners to the business. You are passionate about coaching and mentoring a team and you're willing to roll up your sleeves to get work done. You have experience overseeing the entire talent acquisition lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through to offer negotiation, ideally in the financial services industry. You can identify inefficiencies in a talent acquisition process and implement improvements. You are excited about the opportunity to assist with building and executing a talent acquisition strategy to support a growing organization and continue your development and impact in a regulated, entrepreneurial, fast-paced, people-focused organization.

About the qualifications

Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or related field. At least 8 years of progressive talent acquisition experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience growing and scaling a talent acquisition function to align with business growth. Experience coaching, mentoring and developing a team of talent acquisition professionals. Experience assisting with building and executing a talent acquisition strategy for a growing organization. Demonstrated expertise in overseeing the entire talent acquisition lifecycle in an organization with high-volume recruitment needs. Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion; experience developing inclusive recruiting strategies to ensure candidate pools reflect contemporary Canada. Strong business acumen and ability to align talent acquisition initiatives with business objectives. A hands-on, results-oriented approach to problem-solving with the ability to think strategically. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels to influence outcomes and establish credibility. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.

About the day-to-day

Assist with Developing and Implementing the Talent Acquisition Strategy:

Partner with the VP, People & Culture to develop and lead a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives. Develop and execute initiatives to enhance our employer brand and attract top talent to the organization. Develop inclusive recruiting strategies to ensure candidate pools reflect contemporary Canada. Promote diversity and inclusion in the recruitment process and implement strategies to attract diverse talent.

Build and Lead a High-Performing Team:

Develop and mentor a high-performing team of Talent Acquisition Business Partners, providing guidance and support to set them up for success. Align the team to ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from initial contact to onboarding. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning within the talent acquisition team. Determine TA Business Partner resource allocation and clearly prioritize tasks to meet hiring demands across the organization. Establish clear KPI's for the team that drive results and align with business objectives.

Oversee the Talent Acquisition Lifecycle and Measurement:

Oversee the entire talent acquisition lifecycle, from sourcing and screening through to offer negotiation. Hands-on execution of the talent acquisition lifecycle, rolling up your sleeves to get work done alongside your team. Design, optimize, and implement talent acquisition processes and workflows to ensure efficiency and effectiveness. Evaluate the effectiveness of current talent acquisition performance metrics and reporting using a data-driven approach to gathering insights. Develop and maintain relationships with professional organizations and other talent pipelines. Analyze market trends and competitor practices to inform recruitment strategies.

Partner with Hiring Managers and the HR Business Partners:

In collaboration with the HR Business Partner team, serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers to proactively identify hiring needs across various divisions. Define and execute the appropriate strategy to support hiring needs and ensure that TA Business Partner team has the clarity and direction to meet talent acquisition objectives. Work closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to define job requirements, develop job postings, and establish selection criteria. Provide regular updates and insights to hiring managers and the People & Culture team on the progress of recruitment and candidate feedback.

Compensation:

Peoples Group is pleased to offer employees a competitive annual salary and discretionary profit share opportunity. Salary for this position will vary between $115,000 and $130,000 per year depending on the knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience that the chosen candidate possesses. As part of our recruiting process, shortlisted candidates will be asked their salary expectations for this position.
