**The Role**
This position is responsible for establishing and leading the core processes of recruitment for MCAP. As the lead recruiter this position provides end to end service for our internal clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition Best Practices_**
- In partnership with the Talent Acquisition team directly service full cycle recruitment needs for positions at all levels across the organization including; sourcing, developing pipelines, intakes, screening, shortlisting, interviews, assessments, background check process, offer management, and preparation to onboarding
- Direct, coordinate and advise on Talent Acquisition activities including the development of processes, policies and tools to support the team
- Support the Senior Director in ensuring proactive talent acquisition governance controls are in place to minimize risk and optimize best practice
- Enhance presence at colleges and universities, implement co-op programs and recruitment of graduates for full-time or trainee roles
- Maintain a superior level of client service to all employees and business partners
- Review and enhance talent acquisition outreach programs by identifying new and strengthening existing partnerships with academic, community and/or industry partners with the aim to enhancing our reach

End to End Recruitment Process_**
- Gather a thorough understanding of business needs to create the appropriate talent pipelines needed to meet the demand for top talent
- Directly service full cycle recruitment needs for positions at all levels across the organization, in partnership with the TA Team, including:
- Oversee the development of internal and external job postings
- Coordinate the selection process including interviews, testing and reference checking
- Conduct thorough reference checks
- Oversee the coordination of background checks and the preparation of the offer of employment
- Manage external partnerships with recruitment agencies and consultants
- Review and recommend staffing agency/contractor alternatives to leadership team
- Enhance presence at colleges and universities, implement co-op programs and recruitment of graduates for full-time or trainee roles
- Maintain a superior level of client service to all employees and business partners

Recruitment Analytics_**
- Use recruitment analytics and reporting to provide useful data and advice to the business leaders and maintain a proactive approach to their recruitment needs
- Monitor the sources of recruits and the referral rates; analyze trends and provide recommendations for enhancements to any of the talent acquisition processes
- Ensure recruiting activity, costs and expenses for all job requisitions are tracked
- Build, track and analyze recruitment metrics and benchmarks that can be consolidated into overall HR reporting
- Advance recruitment analytics in order to better predict quality of hires, employee productivity, and job alignment
- Serve as a SME on local job market trends and competitive compensation

HR Projects/Initiatives_**
- Collaborate and support the HR team on special projects and research initiatives as required
- Participate as a member of the larger HR team in pursuing assigned HR accountabilities and projects, as well as relevant support in overall goals of the client groups
- Take a lead in supporting talent acquisition related team and hiring manager training; support the development of a series of responsive talent acquisition tools and resources
- Other duties as assigned, including assistance with HR team projects

Coaching & Mentoring_**
- Support Senior Director to recruit and develop the right people that believe in and reflect in their behavior MCAP’s values and culture
- Partner with Senior Director to develop and roll-out annual performance objectives for the team
- Coach, mentor and support team members to develop skills needed to perform their roles by sharing best talent acquisition practices
- Educate, coach and counsel staff to ensure they are empowered to effectively handle their roles in a confident and professional manner
- Establish and maintain an effective system of communication throughout the business unit
- Ensure a continuous improvement culture is established and encouraged
**What You Bring To The Team**
- Post-secondary education preferably in Human Resources or business
- CHRP Designation is an asset
