Fleet Coordinator

Key Information:

  • Must have a strong understanding of light and heavy equipment, such as fleet vehicles, dozers, excavators, loaders, rock trucks, graders, packers, etc.
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00-4:30.
  • Must be willing to work overtime when required.
  • Hourly rate is dependent on experience.
  • Health benefits and vacation pay.

Job Description:

  • Have a strong understanding of light and heavy equipment, such as fleet vehicles, dozers, excavators, loaders, rock trucks, graders, packers, etc.
  • Ensures full compliance with the company's Health & Safety, Code of Integrity, and Professional Conduct policies.
  • Responding to project requests, this position requires a high level of professionalism and interpersonal interaction.
  • Communicating with field operations to ensure seamless delivery of client projects.
  • Job and equipment planning within the scope of existing fleet and rental inventory.
  • Supporting sourcing of parts/equipment based on field operations requirements.
  • Ensuring that client receives equipment and tracks through various software and telematics.
  • Exceptional multi-tasking, organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Strong forecasting skills.
  • An understanding of Hours of Service for heavy units.Strong spoken and written communication skills, with an ability to foster relationships.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment while maintaining clarity, focus and calm.
  • Adaptability to accommodate job scope modifications.
  • Safety conscious and aware of the importance of safety at an organizational level.
  • Strong computer and systems skills. (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to handle conflict and determine solutions while maintaining a cohesive team environment.
  • General interest in construction equipment a definite asset. (hear the request/problem and work toward a solution)
  • May perform other administrative duties as required.

Experience and Certification Requirements:

  • Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable means of transportation.
  • A driver's abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
  • Team player and excellent people skills.
  • Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Completion of high school or equivalent is required.
