Job Description:

De Beers Group Canada has an exciting opportunity for a resourceful and results driven individual to join the Human Resources team at the Calgary Operational Support Centre. You will collaborate with hiring managers and the human resources team to attract top quality candidates across the company. The primary responsibility of this position is talent attraction and serves as the end-to-end process owner for the full recruitment cycle. You will be responsible for guiding applicants, leaders, services providers and key stakeholders through the recruitment process and connecting qualified candidates to interesting job opportunities within Canada.

You are adaptable to fast changing recruitment volumes to coordinate efficient and effective daily recruitment outcomes. This role will directly support several client groups mainly at the Gahcho Kué Mine Site in the Northwest Territories on an on-going basis as well as ad hoc recruitment for roles throughout Canada. You will be a self-starter with the ability to troubleshoot problems and be capable of working independently and as part of the team.

Responsibilities:

Accelerate the placement of successful and qualified candidates in collaboration with teams at the Gahcho Kué Mine site in the Northwest Territories; Ownership of the full cycle recruitment process for various operational, technical, professional, and support positions across Canada; Coordinate all steps of the recruitment process, including preparation of job postings, advertising, sourcing candidates, screening, interviews, employment offers, reference checks, and onboarding; Develop collaborative relationships with the business leadership, hiring managers and HR Advisors and stakeholders to understand the end-to-end business strategy, needs and issues, site/location, specific culture, hiring and approval process compensation practices, internal equity, talent management and workforce planning; Support the achievement of De Beers diversity and community objectives, in particular with respect to Northern and Indigenous hires; Support the development of successful partnerships with educational institutions for early skills development programs and to develop a pipeline of candidates for apprenticeships/internship opportunities; Attending and representing De Beers at job fairs, schools, trade shows, etc.; Proactively identify recurring issues and make recommendations for comprehensive revisions; Maintaining and evaluating recruitment systems and processes and making recommendations for comprehensive revisions; and Work on other recruitment-related projects as needed. Qualifications: Post-secondary degree or diploma in the field of business administration, commerce, human resources or similar; Three (3) to five (5) years' of related recruitment experience in an agency or corporate setting ideally in a mining, oil & gas, engineering or manufacturing environment; Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams), SAP, applicant tracking and talent management systems; Demonstrated capability with social networking, job boards, referrals, and internal networking to source prospective talent: Proven track record of recruitment and selection techniques, adhering to selection guidelines and knowledge of legislation regarding employment practices; Deadline focused, resourceful and results driven with the ability to manage competing demands and operate through self-direction, initiative, and a sense of urgency; Strong and written and verbal communications skills; Experience in Canadian mining operations or a similar industry with remote fly-in/fly-out operations is an asset; and Team player with ability to deliver quality customer service.

Other requirements:

The current working schedule is a hybrid working two days in the office and three days working from home.
