The Opportunity

Reporting to the Manager, Talent, you will be the go-to expert for hiring needs, working closely with leaders and colleagues to enhance recruitment processes and support our high-volume staffing demands.
The Role
Provide strategic talent acquisition guidance and services to internal clients
Partner with leaders to understand their recruitment needs and design effective campaigns to attract top talent
Manage the selection process, advise hiring managers, negotiate employment offers, and conduct background checks
Create and post compelling job advertisements that reflect SAIT's values, focusing on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and our Employee Value Proposition (EVP)
Champion EDI and Indigenous Engagement in all recruitment activities
Act as a SAIT ambassador, providing guidance to applicants and promoting SAIT's culture and benefits
Participate in events and networking opportunities to position SAIT as an employer of choice
Utilize your deep understanding of collective agreements and SAIT HR policies to support hiring decisions
Qualifications & Experience
A diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business, or Management Administration
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on recruitment
CPHR or RPR designation is preferred
Experience in a unionized or post-secondary environment is an asset
Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems and large-scale HR Information Systems
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Ability to manage priorities independently and exercise professional judgment
A strong customer service orientation and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement
Ability to use data to inform decisions and strategies for recruitment processes
Expertise in using advanced sourcing tools and techniques, such as Boolean search, X-ray search, and social media recruiting
