Company Description

Reporting into the Head of Controlling, the Trade Finance Manager will support Red Bull Canada (RBCA) with all aspects of planning, analysis, and reporting specific to the sales and operations business. This person will be the key business partner contact for the field sales leadership team in allocating resources, evaluating program ROI, and measuring the progress of key sales initiatives versus their plan. This role is wholly responsible for the management of all aspects of the P&L and Balance Sheet for all sales related items.

The Trade Finance Manager will manage a team of 2 direct reports whose responsibilities include the financial management of the following areas: Joint Advertising Trade, POS Capex & Expense, Distribution, and Ad Hoc support of the sales leads of On Premise and Off Premise.

Job Description

PLANNING AND ANALYSIS

Lead volume, pricing, trade and POS spend planning during revised planning estimates

Coordinate planning process across all business units and RBCD to ensure consolidated RBCA meets their goals

Manage P&L and Balance sheet for all Trade & POS items

Publish monthly reporting materials to assist Off premise and On premise sales departments

Develop strategic resource allocation methodology to ensure optimal allocation of resources and assets

BUSINESS SUPPORT & COMMUNICATION

Be able to understand complex business processes and communicate them in a simple, effective manner

Provide cross functional leadership on key RBCA initiatives while acting as the finance lead on key RBCA projects

Establish a strong working relationship with field sales Directors & Finance stakeholders

Turn fact-based Insights into action, influence business partners utilizing data to create actionable plans and conclusions

Become a business advisor to the Canadian sales team, developing action plans to hit key financial goals and KPIs

PROJECT SUPPORT

Enhance ROI analysis for Capex & Trade investments

Support new project rollouts (CPM, etc)

Improve customer profitability reporting capabilities

Ad-Hoc project support/analysis of other trade finance & sales department initiatives

Qualifications

5+ years’ experience in a controlling/financial analysis role, preferably in consumer goods industry.

Highly analytical and very skilled individual in the area of profitability analysis.

Ability to quickly identify and analyze risks & impacts and able to define alternatives.

Strong communication and presentation skills.

Capable of communicating precisely and effectively with internal stakeholders up to senior manager level.

Structured and well-organized.

Must be self-motivated, self-directed and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced team environment.

Experience of managing projects and delivering results.

Ability to operate well in a matrix environment.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

SAP R/3 and Hyperion preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or university.

CPA is preferred.

Fluent in English.
