Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances, or other issues.
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process, focusing on attracting top talent in the energy sector.
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital.
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance.
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program.
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs.
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field. HR certification (e.g., CHRP, CHRL) is a plus.
  • Proven working experience as an HR Specialist or HR Manager, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions (pay & benefits, recruitment, training & development, etc.).
  • Understanding of labor law and employment equity regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of HR systems and databases.
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.
  • Must have oil and gas sector experience.
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
