Talent Management Specialist

Turner & Townsend has a new opportunity for a dedicated Talent Management Specialist with a focus on Global Mobility to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition and Recruitment team, reporting to the Talent Acquisition Lead for Canada. This role will act as the primary point of contact for internal employees and external candidates interested in relocating to Canada and for bench management of underutilized talent. The Specialist will ensure seamless coordination of mobility processes, efficient redeployment of talent, and alignment with our company’s strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Inbound Mobility Coordination
- Act as a main point of contact for employees and candidates interested in relocating to Canada, managing initial discussions, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records on the global mobility tracker.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive mobility strategy to guide and support global mobility efforts, in collaboration with leadership.
- Prepare transfer letters and manage relocating costs efficiently, ensuring a smooth transition process.
Bench Management
- Engage with internal business leaders and recruiters to benchmark underutilized employees into suitable roles, maximizing talent utilization.
- Maintain and update tracking tools to reflect real-time availability and placement statuses.
Relocation and Transfer Support
- Prepare and manage relocation cost estimates, ensuring adherence to company guidelines.
- Support the implementation of relocation logistics to provide a positive experience for employees transitioning to new roles or locations.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Collaborate with HR and relevant stakeholders to align on mobility and redeployment strategies, navigating immigration requirements and ensuring comprehensive support.
- Step into recruitment efforts as needed, assisting the team in meeting hiring objectives and maintaining efficient and effective workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in recruitment, HR, or talent management role, with experience in global mobility and exposure to internal redeployment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is an asset.
- Solid understanding of Canadian immigration and relocation guidelines, along with experience in global mobility processes.
- Practical knowledge of recruitment/HR systems and strong proficiency in Excel and other tools within the MS Office suite.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and team members across the organization.
