Bookkeeper/Office Manager

Robert Half is partnering with an owner managed Law Firm that's looking to add a Bookkeeper/Office Manager to their team in the Ottawa-East region. This is a full-time/permanent role on site.

Responsibilities:
-Process the accounts receivable and the accounts payable
-Process bi-weekly payroll
-Remittances (GST, HST, PST EHT, WSIB)
-Verify invoice validity
-Follow up with vendors if any discrepancies
-Prepare deposits; and prepare cheques for signature
-Bank and Credit Card reconciliation
-Assist the management team; and implement new accounting procedures if required
-Document bookkeeping & financial management process
-Some other related function in accounting and admin.
Qualifications:
-Post secondary education in accounting or in a similar field
-Must be comfortable working in an office space. No opportunity to work remote.
-Proficient in QuickBooks Online is a strong asset
-Payroll and bookkeeping experience
-Proficient in MS Office Excel
-High level of accuracy and strong organizational skills
-Self-starter, takes initiative and possess leadership skills
-Excellent team player
-Willing and able to work independently
-Patient, confident and a pleasant personality
