As the Director, Records and Evidence Management Section, you are responsible for providing leadership and strategic oversight to the Records and Evidence Management Section. This Section ensures the security, protection, admissibility and lifecycle management of all CPS records, data and information in all formats, as well as property and exhibits management, information governance, disclosure and CPS' Body Worn Camera -In Car Video programs. Primary responsibilities include:

Determine strategic goals and collaborate with division management on strategic plans. Identify, collaborate and address risks and opportunities with internal and external partners on behalf of the service. Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the 4 distinct units and teams within the Records and Evidence Management Section. Develop and manage the capital and operating budget for each 4-year budget cycle for the section. Enhance the delivery of services by creating and leading innovative opportunities for the citizens of Calgary and the internal and external business partners. Lead and manage projects and organizational initiatives of multi-business and multi-partner developments and REMS programs. Qualifications  A degree ina related field combined with a minimum of 10 yearsprogressive leadership experience. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who have experience working in a unionized environment, public sector, law enforcement and/or justice-based environment will be considered an asset. Must be willing and able to achieve and maintain certification as a CRM (Certified Records Manager). Experience in operating a capital budget would be preferred. You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish credibility and influence change with the ability to build and maintain long term collaborative relationships.  You are an analytical thinker who demonstrates sound judgement and decision-making skills with the ability to manage resources, provide leadership along with coaching and development.
