Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

Process and validate payroll information Assist with the administration and processing of payroll activities Issue Records of employment Process, compile and submit Garnishments Respond in a timely manner to colleagues on payroll matters involving both written and verbal communication Process required profile changes (sick, vacation, hourly rates etc.) in compliance with Employment Standards Acts, Union Agreements, and Company Policies. In depth understanding of over 400 Union Agreements Other tasks as assigned

The candidates must possess the following qualifications:

Post-secondary education in related field or willingness to enroll in payroll courses A minimum of one year general office experience, preferably within a payroll environment Demonstrated proficiency in MS office products Must be highly motivated with an ability to manage a large volume of work and effectively while adhering to strict deadlines Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the internal and external customers Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential information Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy Ability to work flexible hours when required Team Player
