Join Triovest, one of the largest privately-owned Canadian commercial real estate companies, as Vice President, Business Development in Toronto. In this role, you will be responsible for driving revenue and the strategic growth of our organization. The successful individual will possess a proven track record of success in developing and implementing business strategies that lead to increased revenue, enhanced client experience, and sustained profitability. Reporting directly to the President & Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President of Business Development will play a key role in shaping and executing our growth initiatives while fostering collaboration across departments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES

Spearhead business development efforts across critical functions of a national real estate service platform, including Property Management, Leasing, Asset Management, Development, and Construction services. Drive market analysis and competitive intelligence using online tools, networking, and engagement with brokerage community, owners, developers, and real estate counsels across Canada. Redesign and improve client relationship management tools to enhance client engagement and retention. Contribute to the identification and development of strategic partnerships, alliances, and licensing opportunities to expand the company's market reach and capabilities. Collaborate with internal teams to secure and deliver compelling pitches to potential new and existing business partners. Prepare and maintain presentations, including financial and deal analyses, corporate presentations, board materials, opportunity assessments, etc. Organize, track, document, and report the status of prospects in the business development pipeline, including recent real estate transactions. Establish and maintain an inventory of properties and owner contacts across Canada to facilitate business development efforts. Collaborate with business groups to develop a consistent library of case studies and company successes to showcase capabilities and achievements. Conduct market research, analyze data, and develop valuation models to benchmark and evaluate business development opportunities. Work with internal teams to facilitate the creation of data rooms for due diligence processes during onboarding of new projects or partnerships. Participate in the development of comprehensive marketing strategies, including the creation of presentation materials to support business development activities.

QUALFICIATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

Preference for candidates with a university degree, ideally specializing in Business (Commerce/Management). An MBA is highly desirable. A minimum of 10 years of commercial real estate experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a diverse background encompassing asset management, development and investment, leasing, and property management in office/industrial real estate sectors. Direct sales background with a comprehensive understanding of the sales process, including lead generation, pitching, and closing deals. Demonstrated success in driving exceptional performance and scaling organizations in similar leadership roles within the commercial real estate industry. Natural relationship builder, with ability to create rapport with external and internal stakeholders at all levels of seniority. Proven ability to effectively collaborate with multiple stakeholders with varying interests to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial analysis and the ability to interpret complex data. Strategic thinker with agile problem-solving skills, capable of driving results through a rigorous, data-driven approach while adapting to evolving market dynamics. Experience with database and spreadsheet management software such as MS Office, Argus, Dyna, and Yardi, ensuring efficient data management and analysis capabilities.
