Responsibilities:
• Oversee sourcing projects, such as supporting critical spare programs and handling project funding requests.
• Negotiate costs and submit for the internal approval process.
• Engage in sourcing events, such as tenders to replace suppliers, and work towards completing such projects.
• Implement supplier contracts
• Conduct business needs analysis and understand market trends.
• Facilitate the RFI and RFP processes, negotiations, and the contract approval process.
• Refresh and manage the vendor list, focusing on local/North American vendors.
• Handle a high volume of calls and team meetings.
• Develop and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
• Utilize Excel for data analysis and management, such as using pivot tables.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role within the Wholesale Distribution/Goods industry
• Proven expertise in buying processes, demonstrating an ability to make cost-effective purchasing decisions
• Strong customer service skills, with a focus on building and maintaining relationships with suppliers
• Experience in drafting and negotiating contracts, ensuring they meet company standards and requirements
• Ability to create and manage project documentation, maintaining records of procurement processes and decisions
• Proven track record in managing special projects, demonstrating effective planning and organisational skills
• Extensive knowledge and experience in supplier agreements and contracts, ensuring compliance and beneficial terms for the company
