At Summit Tools, we're expanding our operations and seeking a highly skilled Logistics and Procurement Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you'll play a critical role in shaping our supply chain and procurement strategies.

About the Role

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, reliability, and service to ensure the continuous supply of materials and components necessary for manufacturing our products.
  • Anticipate seasonal changes and develop promotional item lists and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to optimize cost savings, quality, and delivery schedules.
  • Analyze pricing trends, market dynamics, and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate risks to the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, manage inventory levels, and ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Work closely with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards, conducting audits and inspections as necessary to uphold product quality and reliability.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably in the power tools or related industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts, achieving cost savings, and managing supplier relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, perform cost analysis, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as ERP systems, e-procurement platforms, and MS Office Suite.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be between $85,000 and $110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
