Tailoring our approach to the specific nature of the development, we meticulously prepare engineering documents necessary for submission. Embedded within Egis’s land development process is a thorough assessment of natural features on each site. Our meticulous plans are designed to minimize environmental impacts while ensuring the sustainable development of your project.
The ideal candidate will have the following background, skills and attributes:
Completion of a university degree in Civil Engineering; 10+ years of design experience on land development projects; Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario; Design skills with good working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D; Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French would also be an asset); Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, time management and ability to think creatively; Sound understanding of the land development process; Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team; Experienced with project management and has worked in, or understands the consulting engineering environment; Working knowledge of modelling software (PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, EPANET, etc.); and Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance.Key Responsibilities:
Management, support and being responsive to staff including workload planning, mentoring, training and communicating with all direct reports; Completion of engineering design and for a wide variety of projects, with specific focus on components such as storm and sanitary services, watermain, lot/site grading and drainage, stormwater management and utility coordination; Developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, consultants and other business leaders; Assistance with the organic growth of the Land Development group through the addition of key hires, new clients and the pursuit of potential new opportunities; Provide leadership and mentoring for engineering interns and technologists and provide guidance and mentoring to more junior staff; Prepare technical specifications and reports; Liaise with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors; Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders; In additional to your Project Management duties, as a Senior PM you will be responsible for working closely with clients as well as other MP staff and divisions to coordinate facilitation and completion of the work; Preparation of engineering services proposals; Monitor industry standards and developments, assessing client needs and make concrete decisions on proposed solutions; and In additional to your Project Management duties, as a Senior PM you will be responsible for working closely with clients as well as other MP staff and divisions to coordinate facilitation and completion of the work.Egis Canada is an equal opportunities employer offering a competitive salary and benefits to those with the skills suited to the needs of our clients.
