Les éléments nécessaires pour réussir :
Stimuler les ventes en magasin en parallèle avec les objectifs des équipes de vente et de marketing;
Assurer une conformité totale quant aux affichages promotionnels chez les partenaires de vente au détail des principaux centres de rénovation;
Gérer l’inventaire et le processus de commande chez divers détaillants à grande surface;
Développer des relations client clés et utiliser des techniques de vente et de marketing basées sur des faits pour influencer l’attribution d’un espace d’affichage supplémentaire pour les marques Scotts chez les partenaires de vente au détail des principaux centres de rénovation;
Établir des relations efficaces à l’interne (au sein de Scotts) et à l’externe (avec les associés et les consommateurs des clients);
Présenter efficacement les occasions de vente et exécuter les plans de vente avec les gestionnaires saisonniers, les chefs de rayon et les directeurs de magasin des clients chez les partenaires de vente au détail des principaux centres de rénovation;
Utiliser des tactiques de marketing et des connaissances sur les produits pour créer des stratégies de vente afin de tirer parti des conditions du marché localisées et des circonstances opportunes.
Administration :
Remplir tous les documents administratifs dans les délais requis, la paie de M&C, le suivi des candidats, la formation, les sondages, les notes de frais, etc.;
Se conformer à toutes les politiques, les procédures et les pratiques de l’entreprise, y compris la santé et la sécurité.
Leadership d’équipe :
Communiquer entre autres les énoncés de mission et de vision ainsi que les stratégies de l’entreprise, et faire valoir les attributs culturels;
Travailler et communiquer avec le directeur régional des ventes et le directeur des ressources humaines pour résoudre les problèmes, le cas échéant;
Recruter, mener des entretiens et gérer les subordonnés directs;
Former les subordonnés directs, contribuer à leur développement et soutenir les programmes d’apprentissage et d’éducation pour les instruire davantage;
Entraîner et conseiller les subordonnés directs;
Organiser des réunions d’équipe au besoin;
Gérer un budget pour répondre aux besoins du territoire et approuver les frais de déplacement et professionnels des subordonnés directs;.
Spécifications du poste (exigences minimales) :
Facteurs de compétences (formation, expérience, communication, technique, etc.)
Études postsecondaires OU expérience équivalente en vente sur le terrain;
Deux ans d’expérience en vente et en marchandisage sur le terrain;
Un an d’expérience en supervision;
Excellentes compétences interpersonnelles pour l’interaction avec les clients et les partenaires potentiels;
Capacité de négocier et de persuader les autres;
Excellentes compétences en argumentaire de vente et capacité à parler devant de grands groupes;
Capacité de lire, d’écrire et de parler couramment en français et en anglais.
Facteurs d’effort (exigences physiques et mentales) :
Être capable de soulever, de pousser et de tirer jusqu’à 54 kg (60 lb);
Capacité de grimper occasionnellement une échelle de 2 à 4 mètres (8 à 12 pieds) et d’élever les bras au-dessus de la tête;
Capacité de cerner et de gérer les problèmes pour déterminer la résolution;
Solides compétences en matière d’organisation et de suivi;
Capacité de travailler de façon autonome avec peu ou pas de supervision;
Gestion efficace du temps – capacité de gérer son temps et ses priorités.
Conditions de travail :
Le travail se déroulera selon l’horaire standard de 40 heures par semaine. Cependant, les exigences du poste comprennent du temps supplémentaire ou prolongé selon les besoins de l’entreprise, en particulier pendant les mois de printemps et d’été;
Gestion efficace du stress et de la pression lorsqu’un volume de travail important doit être réalisé dans un délai serré;
Disponibilité pour le travail de soir et la fin de semaine;
Disponibilité pour des déplacements réguliers sur l’ensemble du territoire, comprenant des voyages en automobile ou en avion incluant une nuité;
Certaines tâches peuvent se dérouler dans des magasins de détail « à grande surface » en présence de lumière naturelle ou artificielle et de chariots élévateurs ou de machines similaires;
Exposition à des changements de température et d’humidité y compris à des conditions de travail à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur;
Disposition d’un espace approprié destiné au travail à domicile.

Permis de conduire valide pour le(s) territoire(s) désigné(s);
Maîtrise de Microsoft Word, Excel et PowerPoint.

ENGLISH VERSION
What you need to be successful:
Drives in-store sales in conjunction with the Sales and Marketing teams’ goals
Ensures 100% compliance with promotional displays at major home center retail partners
Manages the inventory at various big box retailers
Uses fact-based selling and marketing techniques to influence the assignment of incremental display space for Scotts brands at major home center retail partners
Builds effective relationships internally and externally (Store Managers to Store Associates)
Effectively presents sales opportunities and executes sales plans with store management
Provides business line reviews to stores within territory
Provides product knowledge and education to customers and stores
Administration:
Completes all administrative paperwork within required deadlines
Complies with all Company policies, procedures and practices including Health & Safety
Team Leadership :
Communicates Company’s Mission & Vision Statements, Strategies, etc. and models cultural attributes
Work and communicate with the Director of Sales and the Human Resources to identify and troubleshoot problems and determine resolution
Recruits, interviews and manages seasonal direct reports
Trains and support direct reports
Conducts team meetings as required
Manages territory budget
Job Specifications (Minimum Requirements)
Skill Factors (education, experience, communication, technical, etc.)
Post-secondary Education OR equivalent field sales experience
Two-years territory field sales and merchandising experience
One year supervisory experience
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to negotiate
Excellent sales presentation skills
Ability to read, write and speak fluently in French and English
Effort Factors (physical and mental demands)
Ability to routinely walk, stand, climb a step grip ladder up to 4m (12ft), handle some heavy lifting, and standing for extended periods of time
Strong organizational and follow up skills
Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
Effective time management – ability to manage self, time and priorities
Working Conditions:
Works the standard schedule of 40 hours per week; however, job requirements will include additional and/or extended work time, weekend work as the business dictates especially during peak season
Effective handling of stress/pressure when completing large workload within a compressed time frame
Some overnight travel may be required
Works in “big box” retail stores with natural and artificial light exposure; forklifts and/or similar machinery
Exposed to changes in temperature and humidity including indoor/outdoor working conditions
Other :
Valid drivers license
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Be willing to submit to background screening, which may include, but is not limited to the following: Criminal Check, and Driver’s Abstract
