**Sales and operations manager - Window treatment**
Linen Chest’s fast-growing Shop at Home Department is seeking a dynamic and experienced manager with expertise in the window treatments (blinds/curtains) industry with significant know how in both sales and operations.
At Linen Chest, through our shop at home solution, we provide homeowners with expert advice, selling the highest quality products to meet our customers' window decorating needs. We manage all aspects of our customers' projects, from the creative concept through the ordering process to installation.
We are looking for an individual who want's to take on an exciting challenge and work in a collaborative, challenging but fun environment that will relentlessly look to identify issues, solve problems, improve processes, and help bring common sense, structure, and leadership to the department so we can deliver an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
This position will report to and work hand in hand with the VP of Business Development & Shop at Home Director and work in conjunction with numerous other business areas such as marketing, digital marketing, store operations and information systems.
**Job Description**:
**Your responsibilities will include.**
- Set sales targets and track performance measures by developing tactics and strategies to maximize results in each market where the service is available.
- Ensure the execution of corporate strategies related to the product category within budget and company orientation.
- Provide support and coaching to all decorators in each of the main markets of Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Toronto, and Maritimes, and in secondary markets in Eastern Canada. The majority of the sales team is located in Quebec, however, some travel is required.
- Coach, develop technical, tactical and sales skills to maximize conversion, sales and other KPIs.
- Maintain tracking system for sales results and fluid communication on results with the company's various stakeholders.
- Oversee the smooth running of administrative offices in main markets to ensure that billing, ordering, delivery, and installation processes result in a seamless customer experience.
- Analyze progress, business results as well as customer needs and expectations, and make recommendations for growth and market penetration.
- Maintain close business relationships with retail stores to maximize synergy between these two sectors of the company.
**Qualifications**:
**Minimum requirements;**
- Fluency in French and English
- Available for travel
- Ability to analyze, execute and follow up on a territory business plan.
- Knowledge of window treatments and blinds, particularly Hunter Douglas products.
- Proven ability to quickly build business relationships based on trust and outstanding customer service.
- Experience in sales team supervision.
- Strong personal negotiation skills and ability to counter objections. Ability to pass on knowledge to direct reports.
- Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to build relationships in a hierarchical and matrix context.
- Mastery of basic software and ability to work effectively with technology for sales, orders, invoicing and other tracking systems.
