What Is the Opportunity?
The Business Program Management Office (BPMO) at Aecon is here to help our internal partners deliver on their organizational and strategic strategies through gaining insights with data, building the processes and tools needed to achieve organizational objectives and getting our teams ready for change. We are looking for an innovative Manager of Business Readiness. This role is pivotal in ensuring business groups are primed to adopt new business applications, streamlined business processes, refined work instructions, and to integrate data analytics and AI into everyday work activities. The ideal candidate will ensure the organization effectively adopts and realizes the full benefits of these changes, with a focus on user proficiency and alignment with business goals.
This role is situated in the Business Program Management Office (BPMO) and reports to the Director, Enterprise Analytics and Data Governance.


What You'll Do Here:

Develop and implement change management strategies to foster the adoption of new business applications, procedural modifications, and analytics tools. Collaborate with the BPMO, IT, and stakeholder teams to integrate change management activities into overarching project plans. Identify potential people and business risks with plans developed to mitigate and address the concerns.  Stakeholder planning and management to identify critical and key stakeholders, understanding levels of influence and analysis of impacts and pain points to deliver an optimal engagement and communication strategy and plan. Spearhead the creation and delivery of communication plans relating to business application changes, analytics integration, and procedural shifts. Conduct Business Impact Assessments to evaluate the impact of new applications and processes, assess organizational readiness, and identify key stakeholders. Contribute to the design of training programs tailored for the effective use of new business applications and analytics tools. Advocate for user needs, ensuring that new applications, data analytics, and AI integrations align with broader business strategies. Monitor adoption & utilization rates and proficiency levels of new systems, tools, and procedures, initiating corrective actions where necessary. Work closely with technology vendors, business and data analysts, and internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and integration of new systems and tools. Engage and advise senior leaders on the business impacts of application, analytics, and procedural changes. Establish metrics and reporting systems to track the success of adoption efforts and to inform continuous improvement strategies.

What you bring to the Team

Bachelor’s degree in business, organizational psychology or related field.  Must be certified in Prosci (or equivalent). Knowledge of the infrastructure construction sector including its stakeholders and core business activities. Minimum of 5 years of experience leading change management processes specially in new technology and data management system adoption in a role emphasizing business application adoption, analytics integration, or related change management activities. Proficient understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools, particularly as they relate to business application and analytics adoption. Strong communication skills with the ability to convey intricate technological and procedural changes in an accessible manner. Robust analytical capabilities, with an emphasis on addressing challenges related to technology adoption and data integration. Proven ability to collaborate with IT, Data Science, and business units to drive change initiatives. Familiarity with modern business applications, data analytics platforms, and AI tools. Adaptable and resilient, able to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
