Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources, the TEMPORARY Recruiter plays a pivotal role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting top-tier candidates to join our organization. This individual will be responsible for developing and executing effective recruitment strategies, building a strong talent pipeline, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The Recruiter is expected to be customer service-oriented and exhibit a high degree of diplomacy and discretion.
Accountabilities
Recruiting
Supports the recruiting strategy to ensure FMB attracts high caliber talent in a timely manner; Performs full cycle recruitment to support all business lines by completing tasks such as: Conducting phone screensScheduling interviewsCreating interview questionsInterviewingCriminal reference checksPersonal reference checks Creates and monitors job postings, advertising externally as needed; Determines sourcing & attraction strategies/methodologies to increase FMB’s ability to attract, source and recruit indigenous candidates; Supports orientation of new employees as needed; Ensures compliance with local and federal Employment Standards.Other
Maintains employee files and records; Understands and applies HR policies and guidelines ensuring compliance; Promotes consistent company culture in alignment with FMB values; Supports initiatives in Employee health, safety, and wellness.The Recruiter performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
Post-Secondary Education in Human Resource Management from a recognized educational institution or relevant experience required; Minimum of two (2) years recruitment experience; Previous experience, knowledge or understanding in Indigenous culture an asset; Experience connecting with and/or recruiting Indigenous candidates a strong asset; Excellent communicator with a strong command of written and spoken English; French or Indigenous language skills considered an asset; Exceptional relationship building skills; Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; Knowledge of Canadian federal employment/labour laws and general human resources policies and procedures; Effective working skills of Microsoft and Adobe software products.Competencies

This position is based out of Winnipeg, MB. Hybrid work arrangements may be considered. May require occasional national travel.-
