Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. Lone Star Kitchen Managers share a passion for food and provides leadership, training and coaching to a team of committed restaurant employees. We focus on making food fresh in house, while maintaining the highest standards of food and workplace safety. You will learn to make the best Tex-Mex north of the border, and be given the opportunity to advance your culinary career as far as you want to take it.

Responsibilities

Oversees all aspects of the daily operations of the Lone Star kitchen. Oversee the prep cooks making of house-made salsa, queso, guacamole, pico de gallo, rice, beans, signature sauces, spices and more Oversee the day to day operations of the line cooks who prepare and cook our award winning food including sizzling fajitas, classic Tex-Mex dishes & AAA steaks. Lead the culinary team to maintain the overall cleanliness of the kitchen. Provide leadership and coaching to both full time and part time staff. Conduct interviews and hire individuals who will help grow the restaurant. Manage the employee weekly schedule. Communicate shift priorities and responsibilities prior to the start of every shift. Work with a team of managers and a regional director to manage and shape the restaurant profit & loss statements. Exemplify exceptional leadership skills using our core values of People, Empowerment, Results and Coaching.

Requirements

Previous supervisory and hospitality industry experience preferred. Standard First Aid and Food Handlers certificate preferred. Lift items up to 30lbs. The ability to remain physically active and busy for the duration of your shift.
