Coordinator of IT Resources

Underthe supervision of the Director of Information Technology theCoordinator is responsible for planning organizing directing andcontrolling activities and resources related to IT networks andtelecommunications systems for administrative and educationalpurposes. The Coordinator also manages the IT support team formicrocomputing and laboratories in a work environment focused onparticipation accountability and customer service in a harmoniousatmosphere. To serve over 7000 users the service includes severalphysical servers and approximately 60 virtual servers running Linuxand Windows about 2000 workstations (including 200 Mac OSX devices)a fleet of tablets and IP and digital telephony systems distributedacross threesites.
KeyResponsibilities
Lead and support the staff under your supervision ensuringengagement and effective leadership particularly in taskdistribution customer service professional development policyimplementation onboarding and performanceevaluation.
Supervise usersupport including providing information troubleshooting trainingand skill development for college staff regarding IT systems andbest practices for digital tools and collaborationsoftware.
Manage and oversee ITassets computer maintenance systems servers peripherals operatingsystems and software as well as technological installations anddigital assets ensuring reliability performance andprofitability.
Establishstandards and principles for information management guidetechnicians in applying them and ensure optimal customer servicefor user support.
Advise thedirector and provide guidance to other managers within theorganization.
Ensure continuousimprovement and quality of processes and services under yourresponsibility particularly by developing managementtools.
Collaborate on thedevelopment of policies programs work plans strategic developmentplans budgets and staffing plans.
Manage projects as required.
Ensure compliance with information security standards in servicedelivery.
Represent the collegein associations organizations and committees participate in workinggroups and manage supplierrelationships.
Monitor technologytrends and conduct research evaluation and testing of new equipmentand software to foster innovation and meet users diverseneeds.
Collaborate on maintainingthe college s IT infrastructure (servers virtualizationtelecommunications telephony workstations andperipherals).
Perform any otherrelated duties asneeded.

RequiredQualifications
Bachelor s degree in a relevant field such asIT
Five years of relevantexperience
RequirementsStrong team management skills and ability to build and maintainharmonious interpersonal relationships.
Excellent knowledge andexpertise in network infrastructure and Microsoft Apple and Linuxoperating systems.
Goodunderstanding of physical virtual and cloudbased computingenvironments.
Experience managingIT resources.
Experience in theeducational field especially in the college network is anasset.
Ability to managepriorities and solve problems quickly with a focus on practicalsolutions.
Proficiency in French(spoken and written); functional knowledge of English (spoken andwritten).
Strongteam management skills and ability to build and maintain harmoniousinterpersonal relationships.
