Role Summary
We are looking to appoint a suitably experience HR Business Advisor for our operations based in Richmond, BC. This role will provide operational and general Human Resource support to all Canadian employees including Heli-One Canada and other assigned client group(s) working in partnership with the global HR team, as well as Human Resource Centers of Excellence (COE).
Key Responsibilities
Provide HR leadership and direction for the business, supporting labor relations, employee relations, communications, ongoing talent assessment and staffing, organizational analysis and change management. Work with business management to plan, assess and challenge strategies and organizational structures in order to maximize productivity and efficiency; provide guidance and input on suggested changes, workforce- and succession planning. Support and leverage HR processes within the business such as performance management, salary planning/reward management, succession planning, and talent management. Work with HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence Team as Compensation, Shared Services and Staffing, to ensure alignment of local practices with global standards and processes. Transfer learning and best practice sharing across HR globally. Proactively identify needs and provide recommendations for improvement in the way people management practices are carried out. Support to resolve employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Maintain sufficient knowledge of legal requirements related to day to day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal function as required. Work closely with management and employees to improve employee engagement, work relationships, morale, increase productivity, and retention. Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation. Deliver training as required in partnership with HR COE’s.
Qualifications, Skills & Attributes
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field required HR generalist experience (3 or more years) preferably in an industrial environment such as a service shop or manufacturing. Exposure to various HR functions such as recruitment and selection, employee and industrial relations, change management, and performance management Knowledge of negotiating labor contracts and contract administration. Proven ability to collaborate with HR stakeholders and business partners and coach managers Knowledge of relevant legislation covering employment and industrial relations Business acumen and understanding to allow appropriate partnership with client groups Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills Ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization Problem solving, conflict management and negotiation skills including the ability to successfully resolve performance and disciplinary issuesIf you are looking to be a part of a dynamic team and further develop your career in Human Resources, please apply online and provide an update resume sharing your value proposition for this position.
