Compensation 

Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. 

· Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $ per hour. 

· Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $ per hour. 

· In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate. 

Duties 

Total of 300 and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22 of the Collective will include marking essays and/or assignments.Availability at the end of term is required to mark papers within a constrained turn-around nominal workload for this position is 360 hours per full credit course appointment.However, total stipend will depend on course position may be job-shared.

Qualifications 

successful candidate will have completed PSYC 5F01 with a grade of at least 85; demonstrate a clear and thorough understanding of all aspects of the course to clearly explain all course topics; have excellent communication skills (both written and oral); have strong organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to keep accurate records/manage data; have excellent time management skills in order to mark papers within a constrained turn-around time; have strong writing and editing skills and a thorough understanding of APA writing style; be adept at providing feedback to students in a constructive be able and willing to present material/conduct seminars remotely;  be able and willing to maintain contact with the instructor, fellow teaching assistants and enrolled students by email and by audio-video conferencing and/or in-person meetings and to conduct seminars and office hours via audio-video conferencing and/or in-person meetings.

For courses taken elsewhere, provide a transcript (a copy of your course outline and grade summary from your student self-serve at that institution is sufficient); highlight the course and provide the course description. Failure to provide the required documentation to support the request for consideration of equivalency will result in an incomplete application.
