As a Project Manager, Design & Construction, you will be responsible for managing projects of renovation, space planning and new build, including operational projects, delivery of capital projects, lifecycle, and special projects.You will also be responsible for managing complex design and construction projects, managing project tasks, preparing and making presentations to contacts, engaging with the public and acting as the key point of contact through all stages of consultation, design and construction. Primary duties include: Responsible for project initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing, throughout the entire project lifecycle. Conceptualize proposals such as schematic design, strategic planning based on requirements by using necessary physical and digital tools and computer programs. Develop drawing set and specifications, compliance with building code, access design standards, sustainable design guidelines towards or maintaining LEED certification. Lead internal and external resources assigned to the projects. Monitor job site safety and security, and collect hazard assessment. Lead kickoff meetings and project meetings. Liaise with building operations, building services, and facility planner to plan projects in long-term and short-term to mitigate gaps in infrastructure services. Assist in project scope and objectives, involve all relevant contacts and ensure technical feasibility, and cost estimation on proposed project.
  Qualifications  A diploma and a minimum of 5 years relevant experience; OR A degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant experience. Project Management Professional (PMP)certification is considered an asset. Success in this role requires: Coaching and development, communication, efficiency and thoroughness, planning and prioritizing/visionary; relationship building, self-confidence, service orientation.
