OVERVIEW:
At its core, the Strategic Sales & Analytics team is the engine that connects the dots, lights up the targets, develops and optimizes strategy to achieve the unthinkable and measure success. As part of the SS&A organization, the Category Analyst focuses on providing strategic support to the category manager, through analytics and proactive business insights. In this role, the Category Analyst will be responsible for crafting compelling sell-in stories, serve as the expert on Ninja’s performance, market trends, competitors performance monitoring for assigned sub-categories and ensure Ninja is set to meet benchmarks at every account with each product. This is an excellent position for a highly motivated, team member who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and data driven atmosphere.
Core Responsibilities:
Drive actionable reporting to power a winning strategy at each subcategoryServe as the category expert internally, generating and presenting actionable insights on pricing, promotional impacts, product positioning, competitive landscape and market needs to develop comprehensive strategiesManage and own communication of daily, weekly, monthly deliverables reporting on the overall health of the businessIdentify category gaps/opportunities, craft sales stories with strategic recommendations that differentiate Ninja from competitors, helping to increase distribution, space and displaysCore Skills:
Build partnerships, both internal and external facing, with customer service mindsetAbility to drive objective and action-oriented analyticsInnate curiosity and desire to find creative solutionsAct as the voice of the market and categoryEducation and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience2+ years of relevant work experience within category management or sales analysisExperience working for consumer goods company preferredDemonstrated ability to multi-task and detail oriented, ensuring deadlines are metAbility to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to present and calibrate on critical challenges to internal and external partnersEffective communication and interpersonal skillsExperience pulling and analyzing syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, NPD, GFK, etc.)Advanced Microsoft Excel/ Office skillsAt SharkNinja, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are vital to our global success.
