Our esteemed client in Kelowna, experiencing rapid expansion, is actively looking for an Intermediate Accountant to complement their dynamic team for a temporary remote position.
In this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties, including but not limited to:
- Managing and reconciling general ledger accounts.
- Preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports.
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Conducting variance analysis and providing insights to management.
- Participating in month-end and year-end close processes.
- Performing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies.
- Assisting with internal and external audits.
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Supporting financial planning and analysis activities.
- Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
- Assisting in the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives.
The ideal candidate for the Intermediate Accountant position will demonstrate:
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable processes, with a solid understanding of related principles.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, enabling efficient data analysis and reporting.
- Tech-savviness, with the ability to adapt to and leverage accounting software and technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial records and reports.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting financial data and providing valuable insights.
- Immediate availability to commence work.
