CollingwoodGeneral and Marine Hospital (CGMH) is an 84 bed hospital located inCollingwood, Ontario (approximately 90 minutes north of Toronto) that servesmore than 74,000 permanent residents and 3.5 Million annual visitors to thecommunities of Wasaga Beach, Collingwood, Clearview and the Blue Mountains.CGMH is an acute care hospital providing emergency care, diagnostic servicesincluding lab, imaging and cardio respiratory therapy, as well as two inpatientunits (medicine and surgery). In addition, CGMH also provides care in specialtyareas including obstetrics, orthopaedics, intensive care and surgery. TheHospital also provides out patient care including dialysis and a wide range ofclinics including mental health and rehabilitation services. The Opportunity:

Asa Human Resources Business Partner reporting to the Manager, People Services,you will play a vital role in supporting our Hospital's Operational LeadershipTeam. You will provide strategic HR guidance and support, ensuring the seamlessintegration of Human Resources programs and practices into your client team.This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to leaders on talent andperformance management, legislative compliance, job design, employee and labourrelations, total rewards, engagement, and organizational change initiatives.Operating in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, focused on continuousimprovement you will have the opportunity to enhance client service and helpcreate a workplace community that distinguishes CGMH from other hospitals as aplace to provide care.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or, Bachelor’sDegree with a Post-Graduate Human Resources Certificate. Certified Human Resources Professional (“CHRP”)designation required. Certified Human Resources Leader (“CHRL”) designationwould be considered an asset. 5 years’ experience in Human Resources with apreference for candidates with experience working within healthcare, and in aunionized environment. Knowledge of employment related legislationincluding, the Labour Relations Act, Pay Equity Act, Human Rights Code,Occupational Health and Safety Act, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act,Employment Standards Act, and Hospital Labour Disputes Arbitration Act. Demonstrated commitment to excellent customerservice. Demonstrated ability to utilize influence, soundjudgement, critical thinking, negotiation, coaching, and effective verbal andwritten communication. Proficiencyin standard administrative computer applications Human Resources InformationSystems (“HRIS”), and Applicant Tracking Systems (“ATS”).

Duties and Responsibilities:

Modelsthe Hospital’s I CARE AT values in all interactions. Fostersand maintains strong relationships with leaders, unions, and stakeholders. Actsas a trusted advisor to leaders providing advice and guidance on policy,procedure, collective agreements, and employment legislation. Supportsthe implementation and success of programs and processes aligned with CGMH’sstrategic directions and people objectives. Collaborateswith Leaders and HR Associate partner on talent acquisition, workforceplanning, and development. Facilitatesthe grievance procedure for unionized units/departments within assignedportfolio. Conductsroutine workplace investigations and mediates complex employee relationsissues. Participatesin local collective bargaining. 
Completesdata collection and reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Researchesand keeps abreast of best practices and legislative developments to supportcompliance and continuous improvement of people processes.
