The AVP Marketing Communications and Philanthropy, is a member of the Senior Management Team comprised of other AVP’s, reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Services. The AVP Marketing Communications and Philanthropy is responsible for building and maintaining the strong brand and reputation of the YMCA of the National Capital Region and implementing strategies that attract and retain both YMCA staff and members. Overall, the AVP Marketing Communications and Philanthropy is focused on establishing a fun, safe, healthy, and community-focused culture that delivers high member satisfaction and achieves maximum financial performance. This position includes direct supervision of the communications, marketing and philanthropy staff.

The ideal candidate is an innovative leader with a proven track record of managing operational teams in dynamic marketing, communications and philanthropy programs. They will possess extensive experience in fast-paced environments, demonstrating exceptional communication skills, a talent for prioritizing and managing marketing projects effectively on a national scale and a clear strategy for donor relations and fundraising. An individual who is a strategic thinker who can thrive in a collaborative environment, driving impactful initiatives that further the YMCA’s mission of empowering individuals and communities.
