**COMMITTEE ASSISTANT**:
The Executive Office and Commission Secretariat is looking for a Committee Assistant for a temporary position until May 24, 2024 with the possibility of extension and/or indeterminate status. Position is classified as RÉ-03 ($50,375 to $63,754 per year)

**DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION**

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:
**EDUCATION**:A high-school diploma plus one or two years of formal education in a discipline related to the duties of the position OR an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.

**EXPERIENCE**: A minimum of three (3) years of experience in each of the following criteria:
- Progressive responsibilities in general office administration.
- Provision of administrative and secretarial support services to an executive’s office or a similar office that requires the same level of protocol.
- Working simultaneously with different groups within a multi-disciplinary environment with conflicting priorities.

**KNOWLEDGE**
- Of the National Capital Commission, its mandate and its programs.
- Of the roles, responsibilities and duties required for the proper functioning of an executive’s office.
- Of the directive on travel, hospitality, conference and event expenditures of the Government of Canada.

**ABILITIES**
- To compile, analyze, prepare, organize and maintain information in an efficient manner.
- To set and resolve conflicting priorities.
- To work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- To coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- To communicate effectively both orally and in writing in both official languages.
- To prioritize and organize workload with minimum supervision.
